Exodus 12 http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Exd/Exd012.html#top
from Jerry Golden:
"Yeshua died on the Feast of Pessah,
was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and rose on
the Feast of First Fruits. Fifty days later the Holy
Spirit was sent on the next Holiday in line Shavuot (Pentecost).

Passover is a
meal celebrating the REDEMPTION of the individual
through the blood atonement and death of Jesus Christ, our
Passover Lamb, on Calvary.
This deliverance from sin is exemplified by the deliverance of
the Hebrews from death (bondage to sin). The blood covering over
the lintel and posts of the door to EACH INDIVIDUAL HOME typified
the blood covering of our confessed
sins.
This feast is in contrast to National
redemption (when all Israel will be saved)
as exemplified in
the Fall feast of Yom Kippur, where a goat
is slain, rather than a lamb.
We will begin
with the Scripture account of the last night in Egypt when each
Hebrew home was to be covered under the saving blood, so that the
angel of death would PASS OVER them.
From there we will go to other articles on our Blood Redemption
and the Passover Seder (meal).

The Hallel Psalms 113- 118 ... Psalms
of Praise, recited during the Passover Meal
" Why is Hallel split on Pesach night (
first 2+ last 4) ?
The Hallel shows us both the past
redemption and the future
redemption. Thus, before the meal, we recite those parts of
Hallel which pertain to the past (2) , and after the meal we
recite those parts of the Hallel which pertain to the
future.(4)"
Midrash
Rabbah - "Thus: When Israel came forth
out of Egypt (Ps. 113, 114, 1) is a reference to the past;
Not unto us, HaShem (Ps. 115) to the present generations; "
"I love that HaShem should hear (Ps. 116) to the days of the
Messiah;
All nations compass me about (Ps. 117: 10) to the days of Gog and
Magog;
Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my
God, I will exalt Thee (Ps. 118: 28) to the future."

Matzah Recipes

Unleavened Bread recipe: In a
bowl mix:
2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/8 cup of oil or shortening
3/4 cup of warm water.
Mix well and turn out on floured board.
On floured board, knead the dough a little. Then take a small
chunk of dough and roll out with a rolling pin (on well floured
board) to about pancake size. Prick with a fork and place in a non-coated
pan ( cast iron, or metal ) with high heat. Let bake
for about a minute and a half, or until golden scorch signs
appear. Turn the bread and cook about a minute more (both sides
should have "scorch signs" on them.)
Then remove from heat and place on a rack to cool. When cooled,
layer all cooked bread between strips of aluminum on a plate that
can be used later in the oven to heat at meal time.
At meal time, reheat in oven for about 5 minutes at 200- 300
degrees.
Usually 2 pieces of bread per person is adequate.

"Behold the (
Passover ) LAMB of God who takest away the sin of the world"
John 1:29
The word "sin" is singular here ... THE sin of the
world is UNBELIEF
(lack of TRUST in Yeshua's atoning blood).
Those that believe are saved. Those that do not believe are
damned.
Mark 16:16
What works must we do?..
"This is the work of God, that ye BELIEVE on Him whom He has
sent'.
John 6:29
When we confess our sins to God (not to priests) and seek to change
( amend, turn away ) our course by the grace of God and by our
willingness, then our sins are covered under the atoning Blood of
Jesus Christ, shed at Calvary.
In order to appreciate the sacrifice that Christ made for us on
the Cross, we need to understand that without His mercy and His
blood, we could not be saved.
"I owed a debt I couldn't pay,
He paid a debt He didn't owe"
ISAIAH 53
When we seek Our Lord in a personal relationship and understand
our total indebtedness to Him, then we are living a new life. We
are born anew.
"Thou art worthy to take the book (deed to planet earth),
and to open the seals thereof;
for thou wast slain,
and hast redeemed us to God by thy Blood,
out of every kindred and tongue, and people and nation."
Rev. 5: 9
The first act of worship was this Passover Meal. It reinforces
how importantly the love of God in our home
surpasses formal worship in the congregation. It was not
congregational worship, or worship in an assembly of neighbors
and friends.
It was personal and individual
in separate homes.
Worship at home is intimate and meditative. It is Real , making application
of doctrines and sermons.
God's plan of redemption began with a meal, Passover
and is commemorated with a meal....the Last Supper (John 13 through 17) and
by our Holy Communion (1 Corinthians 11:26 and 1 Corinthians 5:7).
And God's Church Age of Redemption will finalize with a meal, the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:9)
For 2007 years the invitation to this grand banquet has
continually been going out (Matthew 22)
Why is Elijah expected to
return at Passover ?
In Malachi 4:5 it says,
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the
coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD."
The Jewish Bible has three chapters of Malachi, so what we call
Malachi 4:5...they call Malachi 3:23.
Each year at Passover, the Seder dinner table has a reserved
setting for Elijah the prophet to return to earth at that time.
After the four cups of the Seder dinner have been received, there
is a fifth cup called the Cup of Elijah, received in expectation
of his return.
We know that this is a Jewish custom or tradition. But how did
this custom get started in the first place ?
Well each Sabbath day, there are certain prayers said and certain
Bible verses read. The Jewish sages long ago had portioned out
sections of the Torah for each Sabbath Day. This section per
Sabbath is called the "haftarah".
The portion of Malachi 4 fell upon the Great Sabbath (Shabbat
ha'Gadol) which is the Sabbath service preceding Passover.
Since every year the prophecy of Elijah's return was read and
pondered just prior to the celebration of Passover, then it
became customary to look for Elijah's return at Passover. Surely
God seems to indicate so, since nothing occurs by accident in
God's universe.
Here are some resources that explain more fully the reason why
Elijah is looked for at each Passover.

At our home, we place TWO extra
table settings for the
two witnesses of Revelation
Chapter Eleven.
We believe that those two witnesses are Elijah and John the Revelator.
When Elijah returns at Passover, will that be considered
"the midnight cry" of Matthew 25: 6 ?
It is something to consider.
