New Year's Resolution:
"This one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark (goal) for the prize
of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus".
Philippians 3: 13, 14

QUOTE:
Jonathon Edwards once said,
"Resolution One: I will live for God.
Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will."

May this new year be the year that one draws "nigh to God,
and HE will draw nigh to you." James 4:8

QUOTE
" I cannot give you the formula for success,
but I can give you the formula for failure ---- which is :
Try to please everybody

What's in store for 2009 ??
http://www.infowars.com/?p=6580
We may not know what the future holds,
But we do know WHO holds the future
And therefore we can TRUST Him completely.

"Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath."

Psalm 39:4-5

TIME
When I was a child, I laughed and wept;
Time Crept.
When as a youth, I dreamed and talked;
Time Walked.
When I became a full-grown man;
Time Ran
When older still I daily grew;
Time Flew
Soon I will be traveling on:
Time Gone.

Till The End of Time

Each New Year we renew ourselves, just like the trees.
One's vitality comes from being connected to the Tree of Life, God's Word,
which is life everlasting. "He sent His Word and healed them" Psalm 107:20.
If you would like to renew your self in the reading of God's Word as a commitment in this new year, then may we suggest:

In the United States, WiMAX got a boost two months ago when Sprint Nextel, a mobile phone carrier, said it would invest as much as $3 billion to construct a nationwide WiMAX network using the 2.5-gigahertz spectrum together with Intel, Motorola and Samsung. Sprint plans to begin trials next year ( 2007 ) and start the service extensively in 2008
UWB and Zigbee
Despite the current lack of a single UWB standard and global regulatory framework, North America will be the first market to launch commercial UWB-based products for the consumer market in late 2006, primarily in the PC and peripherals (or Wireless USB) and consumer electronics segments. This market is projected to produce over 209 million deployed units by 2010, the firm reported
Finally, the firm said it expects the first ZigBee-enabled products to be available in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific in the first quarter of 2006, with initial deployments to occur in the industrial, commercial and home automation markets. NSR projects over 580 million ZigBee units will be deployed by 2010.

wOzNet
Wheels of Zeus, a privately held, Los Gatos (Calif.) company started by Steve Wozniak, co-founder of computer maker Apple (AAPL ), hopes to soon release a product called wOzNet. Expected to be resold by Motorola, this specialized hardware will offer more than just Wi-Fi, says Gina Clark, vice-president for marketing and business development at wOz. It will also incorporate global positioning system (GPS) capabilities, Clark says, so people can keep track of where their children, elderly relatives, or pets may be.

"we have the mind of Christ" 1 Corinthians 2:16

Ephesians 4:23, 24
"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind
And that you may put on the new man"

like Ebineezer Scrooge
in the classic "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens

2 Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us a spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"

"pulling down strongholds; casting down imaginations, ( "what if " )
and every high thing (vanity, self importance)
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God
( without biblical basis )
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
(not wallowing in hurts, self-pity, fears, impure thoughts, anger etc.)
2 Corinthians 10:4,5

"For today, I too must cast down the imaginations of my mind that torment my peace and  simply trust the absolute knowledge of His love and care for me. I will pray to my Heavenly Father in Jesus' name.  His promise is to hear me and involve Himself in those petitions.  I will not fear what sickness and disease threatens my life.  I will not fear the things coming on the earth.  I will not fear even my fears, for He helps us.  How do I know this?
Because "
perfect love casteth out fear", and there can be no more perfect love than the One who is love itself.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things."
Philippians 4:8

"One day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day"

21 Things to Remember in the New Year
from "Big Mike (wedg)

1. No one can ruin your day without YOUR permission.

2. Most people will be about as happy, as they decide to be.

3. Others can stop you temporarily, but only you can do it permanently.

4. Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

5. Success stops when you do.

6. When your ship comes in.... make sure you are willing to unload it.

7. You will never "have it all together."

8. Life is a journey...not a destination. Enjoy the trip!

9. The biggest lie on the planet: "When I get what I want, I will be happy."

10. The best way to escape your problem is to solve it.

11. I've learned that ultimately, 'takers' lose and 'givers' win.

12. Life's precious moments don't have value, unless they are shared.

13. If you don't start, it's certain you won't arrive.

14. We often fear the thing we want the most.

15. He or she who laughs.........lasts.

16. Yesterday was the deadline for all complaints.

17. Look for opportunities...not guarantees.

18. Life is what's coming....not what was.

19. Success is getting up one more time.

20. Now is the most interesting time of all.

21. When things go wrong.....don't go with them.

Overcoming our Addictions
www.cybertime.net/~ajgood/addictions.html

Commemorating the Circumcision of Jesus Christ

8 Days after the birth of Christ ( technically during sukkot ) ; Traditional commemoration of circumcision on January 1
Messianic Jews have calculated that this was the day
that Jesus was circumcised.
(Luke 2:21 and Genesis 17:10--14 )
This was the "circumcision of truth" spoken of in
Romans 15:8
"Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God,
to confirm the promises made unto the Fathers."

Christ also submitted Himself to circumcision so that we could put off the sins of the flesh.
Colossians 2:11
The more profound truth within circumcision is the cutting back of our wayward hearts.

We are to be circumcised in heart ( our spirit and our attitude):
"Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked".
Deuteronomy 10:16.
"And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed,
to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul,
that thou mayest live" Deuteronomy 30:6
(see also Jeremiah 4:4; Romans Chapter 2; Philippians 3:3)

We can no longer be unwilling to yield to God's Holy Spirit and truth, as were the Sanhedrin in Stephen's day
Acts 7:51..
"Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears , ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did,
so do ye." (not open minded to the truth)
Jeremiah 9: 25, 26

It is worthy to note that on this day of Yeshua's circumcision, was t
he first time that the blood of the God-man was shed upon earth.
It was shed on
the same day that Jesus was officially given His name here on earth ... that of "Jesus",
meaning "Savior" -- Our Savior who would save us from ourselves ( sin) by His shed blood. (atonement)
There is
power, wonder-working power, in applying Jesus' shed blood and His Holy Name ( HaShem) to our circumstances in life.

"Consequently the Circumcision fell on the first of January"
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03779a.htm

http://www.biblepathway.org/cgi-bin/en/en_index.cgi?theme_num=135&position=6
http://www.apostolicab.freeserve.co.uk/lifestyle/904/BloodofJesus.htm

Sadly, the Catholic Church no longer commemorates the Circumcision of our Lord on January 1.
Instead, they have re-dedicated the day to "Mary , the Mother of God".
Mary is
NOT the mother of God. Mary is the mother of Yeshua, the human side of the God-man.
The first day of the year should be dedicated to Jesus.
