Defining a New Role for the United Nations -- Dec. 4, 2003
Those are the tasks I have assigned to a panel of 16
highly respected and experienced people from all parts of the
world, which will hold its first meeting this weekend. The
panel's chairman is former Prime Minister
Anand Panyarachun of Thailand, and it includes experts
on both security and development issues. Among the members are
Brent Scowcroft, a former U.S. national security adviser; Qian
Qichen, a former deputy prime minister of China; and Yevgeny
Primakov, a former prime minister of Russia.
The panel's role is threefold: to develop a shared analysis of
current and future threats to peace and security, to prepare a
rigorous assessment of the contribution that collective action
can make in meeting these threats, and to recommend the changes
needed to make the United Nations a legitimate and effective
instrument for a collective response. How, in particular, can the
United Nations "take effective collective measures for the
prevention and removal of threats to the peace," which is
one of its purposes, as defined in Article I of the UN Charter?

Anand
Panyarachun--Dec. 1, 2003
As chairman of the group, the secretary general named a
Thai former diplomat and businessman, Anand Panyarachun, who
twice stepped in as prime minister in a prolonged political
crisis in Thailand in the early 1990s. Anand, a graduate of
Cambridge University, is not very well known outside
Southeast Asia and has sometimes been critical of the
West, especially the United States, where he served
as ambassador. The brutal reality is that if the panel's
report, due to appear within 18 months, becomes weighted with
old, Cold War "nonaligned" rhetoric that absolves the
developing nations of their share of blame, there will not be
much serious consideration of it in the United States, where a
public discussion of America and the world is long overdue.
The others in the group are Robert Badinter of
France, a legal and constitutional expert who has worked with
transitional states in Eastern Europe; Joao Clemente Baena
Soares of Brazil, a former secretary general of the
Organization of American States; Gro Harlem Brundtland,
former prime minister of Norway and most recently director
general of the World Health Organization; Sir David
Hannay, a British diplomat who served in Kabul, Tehran
and at the United Nations; Mary Chinery-Hesse,
vice-chairman of Ghana's national development planning
commission; Gareth Evans, president of the
International Crisis Group and former foreign minister of
Australia; Enrique Iglesias of Uruguay,
president of the Inter-American Development Bank; Amre
Moussa of Egypt, secretary general of the Arab League;
Lieutenant General Satish Nambiar of India, who
led the first U.N. mission in the former Yugoslavia in 1992-93; Sadako
Ogata of Japan, former U.N. high commissioner for
refugees; Evgenii Primakov, former Russian
foreign minister; Qian Qichen, ex-foreign
minister of China; Nafis Sadik of Pakistan,
former executive director of the U.N. Population Fund and now
Annan's special envoy on AIDS in Asia, and Salim A. Salim
of Tanzania, formerly head of the Organization of African Unity.

UN's
plan for "peace" -- Debbie O'Hara Sept. 13, 2003
An international body with the power to exert
force to control the world's people is not the answer to the
world's peace problem. The root cause of the world's problems is
sin (transgression of God's laws), therefore dealing with the
heart is the way to change people, not international force to
control their environments. How will you rein in the sins of an
international body with no one higher to answer to? The
protections we have under the U.S. Constitution that limit and
separate the power of government will disappear if we sign on to
a utopian "global government" that does not acknowledge
God as the author of rights. In this utopian ideal where the
vision is more important than the individual, no life is safe. We
are headed for massive bloodshed not peace if the United Nation's
power continues to grow. We need to get

Khalaf Hunaidi, director of the U.N. Development Program's Arab
regional bureau, is one of several Arab women in senior positions
at the United Nations who could be powerful voices for change in
Arab nations and the wider Islamic world, if more leaders would
listen. Mervat Tallawy, executive secretary of the Economic and
Social Commission for Western Asia, and Thoraya Obaid, executive
director of the U.N. Population Fund, are two others who should
be getting a wider hearingnot least in Washingtonas
Westerners cast around for an understanding of contemporary Arab
life.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the 1994 Cairo conference
on population and development, and the Population Fund, known as
UNFPA, the initials of an earlier version of its name, is
expected to be under some strain to preserve the gains of Cairo
from assault by nations from Obaid's own region that want to
scale back advances in women's rights, as does the Vatican. She
will get no assistance from the United States in this battle.

Patent 6,947,978, granted this week, describes a process based
on latency, or time lag between computers exchanging data, of
"numerous" known locations on the Internet to build a
"network latency topology map" for all users.
Identifying the physical location of an individual user, reports
CNET News.com, could then be accomplished by measuring how long
it takes to connect to an unknown computer from numerous known
machines, and using the latency response to display location on a
map.

IGF Internet Governance Forum -- Nov. 17, 2005
But a new international Internet
Governance Forum (IGF) will be created to follow
issues related to internet governance, according to a last-minute
deal reached ahead of the opening of the summit on Wednesday (16
November).
ICANN itself is governed by an internationally
diverse board of directors overseeing the development of the
internet.
Viviane Reding, EU information
commissioner, who is leading the commission delegation in Tunis,
welcomed the deal saying it would "pave the way
for a progressive internationalisation of internet governance."
The new forum is
set to hold its first meeting in Athens in the
second quarter of 2006.
Currently only 14 per cent of the global population has internet
access, compared with 62 percent in the US.
Another problem to be discussed among the 20,000 delegates in the
summit is the need to safeguard human rights, and in particular
freedom of speech on the internet.

Internet Oppression -- July 2005
Yet the
UN's real stake in the issue is not how the Internet can better
serve the world, but how it can better serve world
government. For an Internet effectively controlled
by the UN is an Internet effectively controlled by
government. That the UN-appointed panel was called
the Working Group on Internet Governance gives this away.
To see what an Internet effectively controlled by government
looks like, one need look no further than to a permanent member
in good standing of the UN Security Council, Communist China.
Through both technology and regulation, Communist China has
severely limited access to the Internet from within its borders,
creating what has been called the Great Fire Wall of China

UN to control Internet ? March 27, 2004
This week, about 200 diplomats, activists and
representatives of companies like Hewlett-Packard Co. and Sun
Microsystems Inc. met at the United Nations to share ideas on
whether the Internet should be governed and, if so, how.
"The world has a common interest in ensuring the security
and dependability of this new medium," Annan said.
He met privately Friday with Paul Twomey, the chief executive of
ICANN, who would not elaborate on their discussions.
The gathering grew from December's U.N. World Summit on the
Information Society in Geneva, where the world's leaders
failed to reach consensus on governing the Internet and punted
the issue to a task force that is supposed to report to Annan in
2005.
Computer industry officials at the meeting were skeptical of a
U.N. role, but they agreed that some kind of
international body [
Community of Democracies ?] could be useful in
coordinating language issues, security and getting the Internet
into developing countries.
Most believed an international body had no right to regulate the content of Web sites,
a concern for countries like China and North Korea.
Because ICANN reports to the U.S. Department of
Commerce, some countries are nervous that Washington
could force the disruption of Internet traffic to entire
countries by deleting them from central computers
like ripping out pages of a telephone directory.
While that is technically possible, it would be a disaster for the Internet and ICANN, industry officials say.
"The first time anyone tried to do that, there would be
such a hue and cry," said Michael Aisenberg,
director of government relations for VeriSign
Inc., an ICANN contractor that keeps the master list of domain
name suffixes like ".com." http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&e=13&u=/ap/un_overseeing_the_net
ICANN... UN seeking control of the Internet - Nov.16, 2003
global access tax to follow ?
International
critics of what is increasingly being viewed as Anglo-American
control over every facet of life in the world have been demanding
that the United States surrender its "control" over
Internet licensing of websites through California-based
ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
The developing nations want controls assigned to an unbiased international
organization. There has been a quiet (in the
United States) debate over this issue for several months between
the industrialized nations and the United Nations, based on
complaints from several developing economies that the United
States unilaterally controls the access to the information
superhighway and thus uses it as a political devise to promote
its free market economy capitalist agenda. ....
(Management control means that the UN
would exercise control over assigning [or not
assigning] ISPs and the licensing
of domain names and URLs to applicants seeking to launch
commercial, political or personal websites
Those arguing for UN
control advocate using the International
Telecommunications Union (the UN agency that
is organizing the UN Summit on the
Information Society that will meet next
month). This was one of the bones of contention discussed last
week in Geneva, Switzerland. These discussions were preparatory
talks that will frame the agenda of the UN World
Summit that will take also take place in Geneva on December
10th, 11th and 12th.
Once the nations allow the UN to exercise
a power it does not legally possess to tax
the workers of the world, precedent will
allow them to steal not only the jobs of the middle class workers
of the world, but their accrued wealth as well.
It would result in
nationalistic or ideological barriers being placed, like
roadblocks, along what has always been a borderless information
super highway. It
would stifle the free flow of information and the simple exchange of ideas between various
peoples in various nations.
The developing nations, who are using the UN
Summit on the Information Society as a means to establish a
cohesive global policy on information technology beneficial only
to them, intend to make sure that whatever treaty or accord is
ultimately agreed upon will grant the
UN unilateral authority to implement what Americans will view as
unacceptable restrictions and censorship over Internet use.

UNESCO's Agenda
"During the Reagan administration, the U.S.
pulled out of UNESCO, charging the agency with rampant waste and
fraud, and a hard-left pro-Soviet slant.
Sharing many of these concerns, Great Britain also withdrew from
UNESCO at about the same time.
"it was pointed out that social
conservatives would object to UNESCO's collaboration with
the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) and its main NGO
partner, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
In line with these groups, UNESCO now advocates for reproductive
health services for children. In U.N. parlance, reproductive
health services includes abortion.
For instance, one UNESCO document praises Thailand's provision of
abortion-causing "emergency contraceptives" to children
as an "innovative strategy."
UNESCO is also a proponent of the International Guidelines on
HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, a document written by UNAIDS and the
U.N. High Commissioner on Human Rights. The document calls on
governments to ensure a
"right to safe and legal abortion," to legalize
"same-sex marriages," to legalize prostitution, and to
provide graphic sexual and homosexual education to children. The
document also seeks the establishment of "criminal
penalties" for people engaged in speech construed to be a
"vilification" of homosexuality.
In concert with UNAIDS and UNFPA, UNESCO has
created curricula that many social conservatives would believe undermine
parental authority, show disdain for traditional cultures and
religious worldviews, and introduce dishonesty into education.

From
the above we can conclude that the US is seeking to join 1 world
consensus on " tolerance". Why do we need it now after
18 years of not belonging ? Because now the US government seeks
the political-correctness of identifying with the
"jurisprudence" of Islam (revenge), and disassociating
itself with Judeo-Christian justice.
The
final outcome will be the political-correctness of calling all
Christians a "hate" group, because we will not deny the
Word of God. Any people of the Book , the Bible, will be
condemned.
From Berit Kjos:
CONFORM THE CHURCH TO UNESCOS
GUIDELINES.
The standards for 21st
Century spirituality are outlined in UNESCOs 1994
Declaration on the role of religion in the
promotion of a culture of peace.
You probably havent heard of this soft
international law signed in Barcelona in December, 1994. Yet, its
guidelines have spread throughout the world, fueled by
multicultural education, interactive technology, books such as
the Harry Potter series, the media, movies, television and last,
but not least, American churches.
As you read these short excerpts from UNESCO's Declaration
on the Role of Religion, try to remember
where and when you last heard these politically correct attitudes
or assertions:
Religions have
led to
division, hatred, and war.
Peace
entails that we understand that we are all
interdependent
...collectively
responsible for the common good.
Our
communities of faith have a responsibility to encourage conduct
imbued with wisdom, compassion, sharing, charity, solidarity,
and love; inspiring one and all to choose the path of freedom and
responsibility. Religions must be a source of
helpful energy.
We
should distinguish fanaticism from religious zeal.
We
will favor peace by countering the tendencies
of individuals and communities to assume or even to teach that
they are inherently superior to others.
We will promote dialogue
and harmony between and within religions
respecting the search for truth and wisdom that is outside our
religion. We will establish dialogue with
all, striving for a sincere
fellowship
.
we
will build a culture of peace based on non-violence, tolerance, dialogue,
mutual understanding, and justice. We call upon the
institutions of our civil society, the
United Nations System, governments, governmental and
non-governmental organizations, corporations, and the mass media,
to strengthen their commitments to peace and to listen to the
cries of the victims
.
"We call upon the different religious
and cultural traditions to join hands
and to cooperate with
us
. [Emphasis added]
In case you are wondering how UNESCO could possibly be linked to
Chicagos Council of Religious Leaders or to Methodist
Bishop Sprague, lets go back to the fifties again. There we see
both the roots of religious synthesis ( the blending and blurring
of beliefs and convictions through the consensus process) and the
hidden partnerships that link church leaders to powerful
politicians who carry the Christian social and
economic agenda into Congress and the White House.

Godly charity has Jesus' example as our motive.
Earthly 'charity' (humanism) has ourselves (collectively) as a

Representation to Americans means the right of
adults to elect those who serve us in government. Of all the
irritations that led to the American Revolution, the King of
England's insistence that America be represented by those he
appointed, rather than those whom the colonists elected, was the
greatest.
By contrast, the United Nations organization, while
claiming to be acting in the interest of democracy, has not one
official elected by the people in its myriad of posts. All are by

Declaration
of Monterey (Mexico)....March 21-2002
NGO's (non-elected) tell democracies (voting people) how to run
the world
President Bush's call
for the U.S. to spend an additional $5 billion on foreign aid
over the next three budget years, described by the White House as
"the largest three-year increase in history," was
labeled a "modest first step" by U.S.-based NGOs at the
forum.
Flanked by a banner proclaiming "For the Fair Distribution
of Wealth," organizers announced that the NGO
"Declaration of Monterrey" also demanded the
cancellation of all Third World debt,
a universal
minimum wage,
and "progressive taxation systems" within countries.
The document is designed to influence the thinking of world
leaders and future U.N. conferences.
American NGO
representatives at the conference were scheduled to include
former
President Jimmy Carter,
Sylvia Mathews of the Bill Gates Foundation and Mary McClymont of
InterAction. Foreign NGO representatives came from Iraq, Cuba and
Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority.

NWO : Push for Globilization

THE GROWING RIFT BETWEEN US AND EUROPEAN GLOBALIST
LEADERS
In many ways
we now have world government. [However] It is not to be found at
the United Nations. Rather, the UN has been sidelined, while the
real business of world government is done elsewhere. Global
policies are discussed and decided behind closed doors by
exclusive groups, such as the G8, [actually G7 +1
observer] OECD, the Bank of International
Settlements, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the
World Trade Organisation and others. These agencies are
reinforced by informal networks of high officials and powerful
alliances. Together they have created what can be seen as
dominant and exclusive institutions of world government. All too
often they are influenced by transnational
corporations which pursue their own world strategies....
In this way, the Europeans can use their majority allies in the
General Assembly to wrest power from the US. That is why the
Europeans must eliminate the Security Councils veto power,
so that the General Assembly votes (almost all pro-Communist)
will prevail....
Europeans, being ideological Marxists, rather than simply power
conspirators like the US faction, are hostile towards private
business. On the other hand, the US faction of the NWO, which
currently holds most of the power, is willing to court big
business and use those relationships to extend their base of
power and financial control. It is this strategy of harnessing
and corrupting the corporate financial world that has given the
US faction the upper hand in controlling the worlds

UN
to have UN 'campus' at Bonn, Germany
Kofi Annan praised Germany's growing role on the world stage and
said more would be asked of the country in the years to come.
The two also discussed expanding the UN building in Bonn to
create an international conference center that would host future
talks, like the Afghanistan conference last year. Annan signed a
contract together with Rau, a representative of Bonn and the
premier of Bonn's state, North Rhine Westphalia,
pledging to build a "UN Campus" in the city's old
government quarter.

President Johannes Rau
to sign an agreement that will expand the role of Bonn, former
capital of the Federal Republic, as an official UN city. Bonn is
already home to seven UN committees, among them the environmental
agency. The new agreement calls for more of Bonn's now vacant
government quarter to be occupied by UN staffers and commissions,
entrenching the city as a key UN location.

Background:
Henry Cabot Lodge
denounced the League on Nations (
same concept as the UN)
In opposing the treaty I do nothing more than decline to renounce
and tear out of my life the sacred traditions which throughout
fifty years have been translated into my whole intellectual and
moral being. I will not, I cannot, give up my belief that America
must, not alone for the happiness of her own people but for the
moral guidance and greater contentment of the world, be permitted
to live her own life. Next to the tie
which binds a man to his God is the tie which binds a man to his
country; and all schemes, all plans, however ambitious and
fascinating they seem in their proposal, but which would
embarrass or entangle and impede or shackle her
sovereign will, which would compromise
her freedom of action,
I unhesitatingly put behind me.
We have sought nothing save the tranquillity of our own people
and the honor and independence of our own republic.
No foreign flattery, no possible world glory and power have
disturbed our poise or come between us and our devotion to the
traditions which have made us a people or the policies which have
made us a nation, unselfish and commanding.
You cannot yoke a government whose fundamental maxim
is that of liberty to a government whose first law is that of
force and hope to preserve the former. These things
are in eternal war, and one must ultimately destroy
the other. You may still keep for a time the outward
form, you may still delude yourself, as
others have done in the past, with appearances and symbols, but
when you shall have committed this republic to a scheme of world
control based upon force, upon the combined military force of the
four great nations of the world, you will have soon destroyed the
atmosphere of freedom, of confidence in the self-governing
capacity of the masses, in which alone a democracy may thrive. We
may become one of the four dictators of the world, but we shall
no longer be master of our own spirit. And what shall it profit
us as a nation if we shall go forth to the dominion of the earth
and share with others the glory of world control and lose that
fine sense of confidence in the people, the soul of democracy?
You must either give them independence, recognize
their rights as nations to live their own life and to set up
their own form of government, or you must deny them these things
by force.
....
Respect nationality,
respect justice, respect freedom, and you may have some hope of
peace; but not so if you make your standard the standard of
tyrants and despots, the protection of real estate regardless of
how it is obtained.
Sir, we are told that this treaty means peace. Even so, I
would not pay the price. Would you purchase peace at the cost of
any part of our independence? We could have had
peace in 1776 -- the price was high, but we could have had it.
James Otis, Sam Adams, Hancock, and Warren were surrounded by
those who urged peace and British rule. All through that long and
trying struggle, particularly when the clouds of adversity
lowered upon the cause, there was a cry of peace -- let us have
peace. We could have had peace in 1860; Lincoln was counseled by
men of great influence and accredited wisdom to let our brothers
-- and, thank heaven, they are brothers -- depart in peace. But
the tender, loving Lincoln, bending under the fearful weight of
impending civil war, an apostle of peace, refused to pay the
price, and a reunited country will praise his name forevermore --
bless it because he refused peace at the price of national
honor and national integrity. Peace upon any other
basis than national independence, peace purchased at the cost of
any part of our national integrity is fit only for slaves, and
even when purchased at such a price it is a delusion, for it
cannot last.
But your treaty does not mean peace far, very far, from it. If
we are to judge the future by the past, it means war....
Americanism shall not, cannot, die. We may go back in sackcloth
and ashes, but we will return to the faith of the fathers. America will live her own life.
